Biography
Korean-born artist Younhee Paik earned a B.F.A. from Seoul National University and an M.F. A. from the San Francisco Art Institute. She began exhibiting in the 1970s, and has had over 25 solo exhibitions. Her paintings and installation pieces have been featured in major group shows at the Crocker Museum, Sacramento, California; the San Jose Museum of Art, San Jose, California; the Tucson Museum of Art Tucson, Arizona; the Gibbes Museum of Art, Charleston, South Carolina; the National Museum of Modern Art, Mexico City; and the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul. In 1995 she participated in the Venice Biennale. Younhee Paik lives and works in San Francisco and New York.
