Museum of Modern Art Tour
The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), first established in 1929, contains a wide range of visual expression, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, architecture, design, film, and media and performance art. As a survey museum, MoMA is committed to helping everyone understand, enjoy, and use its collection.
Current Exhibitions that will be held at the MoMA during the tour are: The Modern Monument, Endless House: Intersection of Art and Architecture, Making Music Modern: Design for Ear and Eye. This is for Everyone: Design Experiments for the Common Good, Scorsese Collects, Andy Warhol: Campbell’s Soup Cans and Other Works, 1953-1967, Art on Camera: Photographs by Shunk-Kender, 1960-1971, From Bauhaus to Beunos Aires: Grete Stern and Horacio Coppola, Gilbert & George: The Early Years, Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960-1971, One-Way Ticket: Jacob Lawrence’s Migration Series and Other Visions of the Great Movement North, Zeo Leonard: Analogue, Pierre Huyghe’s Untilled (Liegender Frauenakt).
This visit will be guided by Dr. Jihey Kim, a PhD candidate in the art history program at the Graduate Center, City University on New York who is currently teaching history of art, twentieth-century photography, and East Asian visual culture at Kingsborough Community College, City University of New York, Montclair State University and Rutgers University, New Brunswick.
