Jiyoung Lee has been selected by the AHL Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting Korean artists, for this year’s AHL – AKAA Consultant Fund.
The AHL – AKAA Consultant Fund is an annual fund that was founded thanks to the generous support of Korean artist Ran Hwang. The selected consultant will lead the entire AKAA team on the archive’s digital development and conduct interviews based on a $5,000 fund. The candidate for the AKAA Consultant who completed projects as a research fellow at the AHL Foundation in previous years, can apply for the fund so to continue to work on AKAA publications, managing archive materials, and run archive committee meetings based on accumulated knowledge and experience.
Jiyoung Lee, who was selected for this year’s AKAA Consultant, majored in Museums and Digital Culture at the Pratt Institute Graduate School in New York. She previously worked as an online communications manager at the Asia Culture Center, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in Gwangju, South Korea. She currently works as a Program Manager at the AHL Foundation.

알재단 – AKAA 컨설턴트 펀드 수상자에 이지영씨 선정
비영리 미술인 지원단체 알재단 (AHL Foundation 대표 이숙녀) ‘알-AKAA 컨설턴트 펀드’ 수상자로 이지영씨를 선정했다.
알-AKAA 컨설턴트 펀드는 알재단이 2022년 중견 작가 황란작가의 지원으로 설립한 기금이다. 컨설턴트 펀드 수상자는 $5,000의 연구 기금을 바탕으로 ‘컨설턴트’로 알재단의 재미한인 아카이브 (Archive of Korean Artists in America)를 위해 일하게 된다. 컨설턴트 후보 대상은 알재단에서 리서치 펠로우로 연구 활동을 마치고 축적된 지식과 경험을 바탕으로 지속해서 AKAA의 출판, 아카이브 자료 관리, 아카이브 커미티 회의 운영을 수행하게 된다.
2022 AHL-AKAA 아카이브 컨설턴트로 선정 된 이씨는 뉴욕 프랫 인스티튜트(Pratt Institute) 대학원에서 디지털 문화 및 박물관학(Museums and Digital Culture)를 전공했으며, 뉴욕 퀸즈미술관 인턴, 문화체육관광부 국립아시아문화전당 홍보팀 등에서 재직 했다. 현재는 알재단에서 프로그램 매니저 및 시니어 리서치 펠로우로 일하고 있으며 AKAA 아카이브 인터페이스 및 운영 매뉴얼 개발, 인터뷰 시리즈 출판 프로젝트를 진행했다.
