AHL Foundation and BeAti Acupuncture Wellness Clinic are proud to present Jae-Kyoo Chong’s ‘New York’ photography series at BeAti’s Financial District office until June 22, 2018. The show is part of AHL Foundation’s Art in the Workplace program, which aims to present contemporary art works outside of a gallery setting in a public space for the purpose of bringing art into every day life and increasing its exposure to the public. BeAti Acupuncture Wellness Clinic presents Chong’s show as a new partner to the program.
As a graduate of Seoul National University’s Department of Painting, he started his career in Paris, participating in 10e biennale de Paris (1977). He has continued his international career, winning awards at the Tokyo International Photo Biennale and the Issy Biennale while showing his works at over 20 solo exhibitions and approximately 100 group shows. His formative photography, which he terms ‘plastician photographs,’ are made by cutting and overlaying images.
