We would like to inform you of an important update regarding the 2025 AHL-T&W Contemporary Visual Art Awards.

This year, we have made a significant change to the award structure. The previous Gold, Silver, and Bronze prize system has been replaced, and now all three selected artists will receive a $5,000 prize. This change ensures equal recognition and support for all selected artists, offering a more inclusive opportunity for emerging talent.

In addition to the prize, the three winners will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a group exhibition at the AHL Foundation Gallery in New York City in October 2025.

The competition is open to visual artists of Korean descent currently residing and active in the United States. Applicants should have completed works (painting, installation, photography, video, etc.) within the past five years. Artists who have received the AHL Contemporary Visual Art Award or the AHL Artist Fellowship in the past three years are not eligible.

The deadline for applications is April 30, 2025 (11:59 PM EDT), and winners will be announced on June 2, 2025.

In addition to the AHL-T&W Contemporary Visual Art Awards, the AHL Foundation continues to offer other programs such as archive research, curatorial projects, and artist fellowships. Be sure to check our website for the latest updates on these opportunities.
