Art is an important glimpse into history because it is often one of the few things to survive. It can tell us stories, relate moods and beliefs of the era, and allow us to relate to the people who came before us. Let’s explore art, from Ancient to Contemporary, and see how it influences the future and delivers the past.
Instructor: Jinyoung Koh
Jinyoung Koh is a doctoral candidate in Art and Art Educational at Columbia University in New York. Koh received an MFA in Photo & Media Art from the California Institute of the Arts and a BFA in Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has more than five years of experience as a college-level lecturer, educating art and non-art students in introductory to advanced level art courses.
