Art History Class
Definitions of Art
Date: Thursdays, January 10 – May 16, 2019
Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Location: 474 7th Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10018
The goal is for students to become active and responsible participants in their own learning along their journeys as lifelong learners. Definitions of art are various because many artists express, explore, and question ideas about their identities and perspectives. It is helpful to look at artists’ expressions to help us understand how the role of art has changed. Understanding the diverse definitions and elements of art will help us better understand our art and culture as active learners.
