Apply for the 2020 AHL-T&W Contemporary Visual Art Award Open Call

$12,000 Worth of Prize Money – Deadline: April 30th

The 17th Annual 2020 AHL-T&W Contemporary Visual Art Award is currently awaiting applicants. Organized by AHL Foundation, a non-profit group supporting Korean artists, and sponsored by T&W Foundation, this annual open call accepts a number of portfolios submitted by Korean artists active in the United States and is judged by a panel of leading art experts in New York. Winners of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes will receive amounts of $5,000, $4,000, and $3,000 in prize money respectively, as well as the chance to showcase their work in a group exhibition in Chelsea, Manhattan.

Any artist of Korean descent currently active and residing in the United States is welcome to apply. Visual artworks, such as paintings, installations, photographs, video art, etc., made within the last five years will be accepted. 올해로 17회를 맞이하는AHL-T&W Contemporary Visual Art Award (알재단 현대미술 공모전) 이 지원자를 기다리고 있다. 비영리 한인 미술 지원 단체인 알재단 (대표 이숙녀) 이 T&W Foundation 의 후원으로 매년 진행하는 본 현대 미술 공모전은 미 전역에서 활동하는 한인 미술인의 작품 포트폴리오를 뉴욕 유수 미술 전문가와 함께 심사한다. 금, 은, 동상 수상자는 각 $5,000, $4,000, $3,000 의 상금과 함께 올 해 맨하탄 첼시에서 단체전에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 얻는다.

현재 미국에서 거주하며 작품활동을 지속하는 한인 작가라면 누구나 공모전에 지원 가능하다. 작품 장르는 회화, 설치, 사진 및 비디오 등 시각 미술 전반이며 지난 5년 내 완성한 작품이어야 한다.
